Addobbi natalizi per la casa, l'ispirazione arriva da Instagram

Per le strade delle principali città del mondo è già Natale: vetrine cariche di addobbi natalizi, luminarie accese, canti di Natale che risuonano nell’aria, etc.

Sarà che è stato un anno particolarmente difficile e ricco di cambiamenti, sarà che c’è tanta voglia di rifugiarsi in un’atmosfera dolce e rassicurante o semplicemente sarà che in questi giorni in tv e su internet non si vedono che tutorial sugli addobbi di Natale (per quello sul cake design natalizio cliccate qui), che, contrariamente alla tradizione, in molto hanno già addobbato anche casa.

Se non lo avete ancora fatto per mancanza di idee, di tempo o perché state aspettando il ponte dell’Immacolata per rispettare la tradizione, ecco qualche spunto per addobbare la casa. Arrivano direttamente da Instagram dove sembra che il Natale sia già arrivato da un pezzo e che il bianco, abbinato al rosso, all’oro, al grigio o al nero, vada per la maggiore.

Mary @gardenstyleliving never ceases to amaze me with her ability to see a true gem in a vintage piece. I have been getting amazing pieces from her for 3 years. I have been searching for a bench for the end of my bed. Well she found this bench for me and friends, it never made it to my bedroom ! It’s now my coffee table in my family room !!! So here’s my project with all the trimmings! Due to a preChristmas budget, Hubs & I decided to forgo hiring a “real” carpenter & take matters into our own hands After a good session of Swedish torture, we got our @ikea LIATORP bookcases put together, these beauties could not fit better! They flank the fireplace beautifully & have brought out the pretty patina of my traditional red brick. We had to saw off the mantel ends to accommodate the pieces, which we will be adding a hunky chunky natural wood one after the holidays. Snow flurries and sunshine here today. What is it like where you are?☃️ The tree will be going up here this weekend, if we have the time to go and cut it down. I am so loving this new chair from @lazboy I’m telling you, it is so soft and cozy! Going to hate putting it away when we put the christmas tree up. . I also got a new pillow from Aimee @aimeeweaverdesigns and I think the little “merry and bright” adds a nice little touch. Tried something a little different to add accent to the alcove, I painted it a light grey and then the rest of the room a light cream with a grey undertone. Alcove painted #benjaminmoore Wish and living room painted #behrpaint Swiss Coffee.

And this disco ball is sending sparks in every direction with the light coming in the window, reminding me that one person can be the source of so many sparks for others. So just be kind and be yourself, be accepting of others. Be this disco ball… tossing light into so many directions and sparking that in others. When you do that, you don’t burn yourself out, but instead, shine even more brightly. PS- I am usually on the “no Christmas until after Thanksgiving!” team, but this year I’m practicing slow decorating with my Christmas decor instead of rushing to get it all up the day after. We aren’t hosting, so I figured I may as well take my time and enjoy the process a little more.
